There is also a special beginners' trail and a biathlon trail. The total of 23 kilometres of cross-country trails cover the area of the Vallée d'Abondance.
From Châtel, you can also easily reach the Foyer Nordique, a meeting point and also the starting point of many other trails. At around 9 kilometres, the red Grand Circuit cross-country trail is the longest and connects the villages of Châtel and La Chapelle d'Abondance.
