Les 2 Alpes Ski area

With the "Les 2 Alpes" lift pass, the Jandri cable car takes winter sports enthusiasts up to the 3,600-metre-high glacier in just a few minutes. The new Jandri cable car, due to open in December 2024, will reduce the journey time to 17 minutes (from the valley station to the glacier) and increase capacity to 3,000 people per hour. This ensures shorter waiting times and significantly greater comfort. The new ski lifts in Les 2 Alpes are predominantly powered by locally generated hydroelectricity. From the top station, you can then make the most of Les 2 Alpes’ 220 kilometres of slopes (including ski routes) – what a view!

The new "Diable" 6-seater combined lift (chairlift and gondola) also takes you comfortably from the village straight into the ski area. Experienced skiers will find a number of deep-snow runs and ski routes, whilst average skiers can choose from a variety of red and blue runs. The resort’s longest run comes highly recommended: depending on snow conditions, it takes you almost 16 km down from the highest point of the glacier to Mont de Lans, the lowest point. Along the way, you’ll cover a good 2,280 metres in altitude! The most challenging run for adrenaline junkies is the "La Fée 5". With its steep slopes, it’s an absolute delight for skilled skiers. The gentle "Vallée Blanche 1" is also a lovely run; it’s beautifully bathed in sunlight, particularly in the morning, and offers a fantastic skiing experience as you head towards the sun.

The beginners’ ski area is also unique, as it is not, as is usually the case, situated down in the valley, but at altitudes between 1,600 and 2,600 metres. This means perfect snow conditions at all times for those first turns! The practice area in the "La Toura" sector is ideal for beginners and families. Numerous small jumps, rails and a mini-pipe have been set up as a playground for the whole family.

An absolute highlight is the snow park situated on the glacier at an altitude of 2,600 metres, which offers a special experience with two half-pipes, a boardercross course, numerous jumps and other obstacles. In the chill-out area, complete with music and drinks, you can then relax and watch the other freestylers perform spectacular tricks. It’s no surprise that various competitions and events are regularly held here.

In addition, if you have a lift pass valid for 6 days or more, you can access the Alpe d’Huez ski area – with a further 249 kilometres of slopes (except in the time period 20/03 – 27/03/2027) – for 2 days.

Night skiing Les 2 Alpes

As in many ski resorts in France, the Les 2 Alpes ski resort also offers the opportunity to extend the skiing day on certain evenings of the week. This is how night turns into day in Les 2 Alpes: after regular operating hours, family-friendly night skiing takes place in the evening hours.

Right in the centre of the village is a small but excellent night skiing area that attracts night owls every week. The "Vallée Blanche 2" slope is also illuminated at night by LED lights. The exact times for evening skiing are announced at the local tourist office.

From February onwards, skiers can ski from 3,400 to 3,200 metres at sunset and enjoy a snack or an aperitif as they wish!

Après ski in Les 2 Alpes

The transition from skiing to après-ski is seamless, as not only are the apartments located directly on the slopes, but so are numerous après-ski bars such as Smithy's Tavern. Many guests also end their day of skiing at Smokey Joes, the top location for après-ski and Tex-Mex food. The first guests start arriving at lunchtime, and by the time the last ones leave, it is usually late in the evening.

Those who still haven't had enough can continue dancing in the countless nightclubs of Les 2 Alpes. In addition, festivals, concerts and other events take place regularly, so musical entertainment is guaranteed during your skiing holiday.

Guests can also take a look behind the scenes of the ski resort, such as the Jandri cable car. Or visit the snow laboratory to learn more about artificial snow, the use of water and the preparation of the slopes.

Snowpark Les 2 Alpes: Freestyle Land

The "Freestyle Land" snow park, which is located at an altitude of 2,600 metres in the Toura area in winter and 3,200 metres in the middle of the glacier in summer, has been a particularly popular destination for freestylers of all kinds for years. It is not without reason that the annual Uni Champ Contest is held here, where Germany's students battle it out in boarding and freeskiing.

The winter park at Toura has plenty of freestyle fun to offer on an area of 24 hectares. The slopestyle course consists of three kickers, three rails, a hip that is connected to two quarter pipes and is finished off with an S-rail. The 4 m high kicker with a 20 - 25 m table in the big air zone allows you to enter the slopestyle line after the jump and finish the course with the hip. In the Axe Pipe there is a multifunctional table, a step-up gap kicker and an up rail that leads to a quarter pipe and a down rail at the end. The 120 metre long and 5 metre high halfpipe is maintained daily by an experienced team and is therefore always perfectly groomed.

In addition to all these freestyle options, the park has a cool kids' area, a beginners' area with hoops and tables, a special rail area with boxes, beginner and pro rails and intermediate kickers. There is also a boardercross area.

The perfect offer of the 2 Alpes Snowpark is rounded off with a cosy chill-out area, which provides the perfect sound as well as a generous BBQ. The visitor area provides an optimal view of the riders freestyling and practising in the park. The snow park in Les 2 Alpes really invites everyone to be part of the community and this special location to enjoy the cosy atmosphere together.
