Ski area Les 2 Alpes

With the "Les 2 Alpes" lift pass, the Jandri Express takes winter sports enthusiasts up to the glacier at an altitude of 3,560 metres in just a few minutes. From here, you can make the most of the 227 kilometres of pistes (including ski routes) in Les 2 Alpes - what a view! The new 6-seater combined lift (chair and gondola) Diable also takes you comfortably from the village directly to the ski area. Pros can choose from various deep powder snow descents and ski routes, whilst novice and intermediate skiers have the choice between several red and blue slopes. Definitely worth recommending is the longest run of the ski area: from the highest point of the glacier, you can head down to Mont de Lans, the lowest point, over a distance of about 16 km. In doing so, you will conquer a 2,280 m difference in altitude! The most difficult run for adrenaline junkies is the "La Fée 5". With its steep slopes, it's an absolute pleasure for experienced skiers. The easy "Vallée Blance 1" is also quite lovely to ride along, which enjoys plenty of sunlight in the morning, providing skiers with a pleasant skiing experience under the sun.

The beginner's ski area is unique - it is not down in the valley, as is a typical beginner's area, but "on top" at a height of nearly 3,600 m. This guarantees perfect snow conditions for the first turns at any time! For beginners and families, there are special practice grounds in "La Toura". Numerous little ramps, rails and a mini-pipe have been built for the entire family.

An absolute highlight is the snow park on the glacier that lies at an altitude of 2,600 m and is unique in Europe. It offers two half-pipes, a boarder cross track, several jumps and other obstacles. In the Chill Area, you can round off the day by relaxing with music and drinks while watching the other freestylers perform their tricks. It is not without reason that the "Mondial du Snowboard" is held here every year.

From 17/12/2022 to 17/03/2023 as well as from 25/03/2023 to 21/04/2023 you have the additional possibility to use the ski areas of the Grande Galaxie from the 6-day lift pass: Ski in Alpe d'Huez/Oz/Vaujany (249 km of pistes) as well as in Serre-Chevalier (250 km), Puy St. Vincent (75 km), Via Lattea/Sestrière (400 km) and Montgenèvre Voie Lactée (75 km), i.e. you can choose from over 1,200 km of pistes!

A Wi-Fi area has been arranged in the Les 2 Alpes tourist office.

Night skiing Les 2 Alpes

Like many ski areas in France, the ski area in Les 2 Alpes also offers the opportunity to extend your day on skis on some nights per week. This is how Les 2 Alpes turns night into day: after the regular operation hours you can go night skiing in the evening. A small but nice and family-friendly night ski area is located right in the resort centre. An approx. 500 m piste is illuminated for night skiing, inviting night skiers every week. The tow lift Lutins takes young and old up to the child-friendly slope, that is marked green and has a wonderfully flat terrain. The exact times for skiing fun after nightfall are announced in the tourist office in resort.

Après ski Les 2 Alpes

The transition from skiing to après ski is seamless, as both the apartments and the various après ski bars like "Smithy's Tavern" are at the foot of the slopes. Many guests end their skiing day in the "Smokey Joes", the most popular party location in the village. Already at noon the first ones "practise turning in", and it is generally late before the last ones leave.

If you still haven't had enough, you can dance on in one of the several discos in Les 2 Alpes, such as the "L'Avalanche". Furthermore, frequent festivals, concerts and other events take place, so you won't miss out on any musical entertainment during your ski holiday.

Alternatively, the bowling hall or laser game, for example, provide good off-piste entertainment. For all those who are still looking for action after skiing, there are numerous outdoor activities such as the Ice Glider, a kind of scooter on ice, snowmobile rides or paragliding schools that provide a magnificent view over the snow-covered landscape and an unforgettable experience. Boredom is out of the question in Les 2 Alpes in the winter!

Snowpark: Freestyle Land Snowpark Les 2 Alpes

The "Freestyle Land" snow park is located at two different altitudes, on the middle of the glacier: in winter it is situated at 2,600 m, in summer it lays at 3,200 m altitude. It is known to be a real freestyle Mecca, which may be one of the reasons why the annual "Uni Camp" contest is held here, whereby Germany's students can battle freestyle on their boards and skis.

The winter park at Toura covers a total area of 24 ha and offers great entertainment for freestyle fans. The slopestyle track comprises 3 kickers, 3 rails, one hip which is connected by two quarter pipes and then finished off with an S-rail. The 4 m high kicker with 20 - 25 m flat in the Big Air zone provides access to the slope style line also after the jump and then end the track from the hip. In the Axe pipe there is a multifunctional table, a step-up gap and an up rail which leads to one of the quarter pipes and down rail to the end of the line. The 120 m long and 5 m wide half-pipe complies to international standards and is daily maintained and reshaped by an experienced team.

Besides all these freestyle options the park further offers a cool kid's area, a beginner area with hoops and tables, a special rail area with boxes, beginner and pro rails, as well as intermediate kickers. Boardercross is also something you should not miss here.

The perfect offer of the 2 Alpes snow park is rounded off with a cool chill out area with BBQ and sound system, and a visitor area where friends and spectators can watch the freestylers fly through the air without being in the way. This snow park is therefore ideal for everyone to be part of the community and enjoy the atmosphere together in this special location in Les Deux Alpes.
