Location and facilities

The welcoming Gästehaus Achental is situated at the edge of the resort of Berchtesgaden, approx. 600 m away from the centre. A bus stop (public bus operated by the RVO) can be found about 200 m away. The Obersalzberg ski area is around 5 km away and Götschen is around 9 km away.

The cosy, cared-for accommodation is furnished with a reception, breakfast room, lounge and ski room for your equipment. Parking spaces can also be found at the accommodation and used where available.

Upon arrival, you will receive a guest card, which grants you access to numerous discounts in museums or at certain events. The card also allows you to used almost all bus and train lines of the Berchtesgaden-Königssee tourism region for free (services subject to change).

The lovingly-furnished rooms, some of which have been modernised, have a shower/WC, cable TV, sometimes Wi-Fi and sometimes a balcony.

The holiday price includes a breakfast buffet. Vegetarian dishes as well as lactose-free and gluten-free cuisine (on request) are also possible.

Important notes

  • The rooms are cleaned twice per week.
  • Skiing on the Jenner will no longer be possible as of the 24/25 season. Nevertheless, use of the Jennerbahn cable car is included in the lift pass for pedestrians, tobogganists and winter hikers.
  • The RVO public bus to the Rossfeld ski area can be used free of charge as part of the obligatory guest card. If a lift pass is presented, no toll is charged.
  • When booking several-bed rooms or rooms with additional beds, there is no entitlement to the additional beds in the event of under-occupancy.
