Ski area Inselsberg - Bad Tabarz
One of the largest ski areas in the Thuringian Forest awaits winter sports enthusiasts on the Inselsberg. Three pistes await you there. The t-bar lift takes you to an altitude of just under 900 metres below the plateau of the Großer Inselsberg. The longest piste is 1.1 kilometres long and is also suitable for beginners. They will feel particularly at home on the Inselsberg. Here you can learn to ski in peace and quiet while enjoying the panorama.

Après ski Inselsberg - Bad Tabarz
Even in the small town of Bad Tabarz, party-goers don't have to miss out on a party. From the early evening, the party action centres on the Postmarie cellar bar in the Hotel Zur Post. Regular music events and special events take place here, accompanied by hearty beers or refreshing cocktails.
Other than that, afternoons in Bad Tabarz are quiet and close to nature. In addition to a stop at the panoramic mountain inn at the observation tower, you will also find cosy cafés and guesthouses in the village itself for a relaxing afternoon and early evening. There are also two beautiful toboggan slopes in the immediate vicinity of the village: on the Inselsberg there is a rather steep slope that is ideal for a speedy descent. On the Kleiner Inselsberg there is also a child-friendly toboggan slope for families below the summer toboggan run. The 100-metre-long piste can be easily climbed again using the magic carpet. There are also regular events on the nearby Datenberg with evening tobogganing under floodlights.
In bad weather and for some extra relaxation in the water, a visit to the Tabbs leisure pool is a good idea. Here you can relax in saunas, steam baths and a Kneipp area.
