Location and facilities
The cosy 4-star Hotel Hofgut Sternen - is located in the district of Breitnau, approx. 5 km from the centre of Hinterzarten. The nearest ski lift for the Thoma ski centre, a bus stop, as well as the nearest access point into the cross-country network can be reached within about 5 km. The ski area Feldberg is approx. 24 km away.The accommodation complex comprises of the Schwarzwaldhaus (main building), Glashaus, Goethehaus and Ravennahaus, which are designed in the typical Black Forest style. The main building offers a reception, lift, Wi-Fi, lounge, breakfast room (in the "market shed"), restaurant, lobby-bar, a ski room (in the Goethehaus) and free parking spaces.
The KONUS Guest Card (includes free access to public transport systems of the southern Black Forest area), as well as a the Hochschwarzwald Card are both included in the holiday price. Among other things, the latter offers daily 1.5 hours free access to the "Badeparadies Schwarzwald" (pool complex, excl. the saunas and Palm Oasis from 16 years), free entry to all indoor pools of the Hochschwarzwald and 100 further leisure time activities (all offers are subject to change, as per info in resort).
The lift pass for the skiing area Feldberg is included in the price (1-day lift pass for 2 nights). Alternatively, instead of the one-day lift pass, you can take advantage of a one-day admission to the Galaxy adventure pool at Badeparadies Schwarzwald (to be specified directly at the time of booking, rebooking at a later date is not possible!) Please note that for bookings in November 2022 and March 2023, admission to the Galaxy adventure pool at Badeparadies Schwarzwald is included (no lift pass option). If skiing on the Feldberg is not possible due to snow conditions, the day admission to the Galaxy adventure pool will automatically be included.
Rooms
Depending on the type of room booked, the comfortable rooms are located either in the Goethe-, Schwarzwald-, Glas-, or Ravennahaus buildings and offer a bath or shower/wc, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, tablet, safe, telephone, radio, hair dryer, cosmetic mirror, as well as coffee and tea-making facilities, some have a refrigerator, sitting area with a desk, and some also have a balcony.Board
The holiday price already includes half board catering and is comprised of a rich breakfast buffet and a buffet in the evening. With prior reservation in resort, special dietary dishes, allergy-sensitive dishes as well as vegetarian dishes can also be prepared.At Christmas (24/12 - 26/12), a Christmas buffet is offered with partly musical background as well as a Christmas programme.
Meals are taken in the market barn.

Important notes
- The "Hochschwarzwald-Card" is not transferable and may only be used once per day for each night's stay. It is valid either from the day of arrival, or from the following day (and then until the day of departure). In the hotel, a deposit of €10 pp has to be paid for the card.
- The KONUS guest card is NOT valid for use of ICE, IC and EC train connections.
- When booking rooms with multiple or additional beds, there is no claim to the additional beds
