Ski area Liftverbund Feldberg

Ski area Liftverbund Feldberg

With the "Hochschwarzwald Card" you have access to the ski lift union Feldberg, with a total of 63 km of pistes, accessible via 38 lifts spread over the areas Feldberg, Altglashütten, Menzenschwand, Muggenbrunn, Todtnauberg, Notschrei, Stollenbach and Belchen.

The winter sports centre Feldberg, the centre of the lift pass union, offers 26 km of piste and some really enjoyable descents. 15 lifts ensure quick and safe ascent. Be it families with children or challenging rider - every winter sports fan will find what they are looking for. The Feldberg (1,493 m) is the highest mountain of the Black Forest and offers 4 km of piste (maintained with snow canons) and is therefore one of the most popular destinations here.

The "Hochschwarzwald Card" further includes access to other ski lifts, including those in Schwärzenbach and Schluchsee-Fischbach, the Schneeberg lifts in Waldau and the Kuhberg lifts in Lenzkirch-Saig, as well as the ski lift Breitnau and lift in Eisenbach. The ski centre Thoma in Hinterzarten is also part of the access range of the card and offers three tow lifts and five pistes with a total length of 4 km.

Night skiing Hinterzarten

Nocturnal winter sports fans in Hinterzarten can go skiing in evening right in their holiday resort, as Hinterzarten is the centre of night skiing in the Black Forest. The "Ski centre Thoma" at the edge of Hinterzarten, a total of 4 km night ski pistes are available for young and old five nights per weeks from 18:00 - 22:00 when they are illuminated for night skiing. The night ski area can be accessed by three lifts. The area is named after the Olympic ski jumper Georg Thoma, whose family has several ski schools in Hinterzarten and at Feldberg. The family also ensures that night skiing in the region is something special.

Further floodlit pistes are available for night skiing at the Wasen lifts in Muggenbrunn (Todtnau) and at Stockinger lift nearby Freudenstadt.

Après ski Hinterzarten

All around the Feldberg, a number of gastronomy establishments invite you in to linger after a day on the piste. Highly recommendable is the cosy hut at the Grafenmatt piste, with its comforting atmosphere.

If you prefer a real good party, you should definitively visit the huts on the Passhöhe and the "Hasenstall". Or, enjoy some tobogganing fun on the winter run on the Feldberg, with it's total length of 3.2 km (therefore being the longest winter toboggan in the Black Forest).

Numerous discos with city flair can be found in Freiburg (approx. 25 km away). This is where you can turn night into day!

Snowpark: Hinterzarten

In the small ski areas in the northern Black Forest, such as Kniebis, there is no snowpark. Unfortunately the "badenova Snowpark" at Feldberg will be closed starting from the coming winter season 18/19. But Feldberg takes the reins with 4 new funslopes for young and old. With rapid banked curves, swinging wave tracks, but also several smaller jumps too, the various slopes provide a lot of fun.

The Kandelpark in Waldkirch is also looking forward to many new visitors. The varied set-up, consisting of various boxes, rails and several kickers, is something to be proud of.
