Freestylers, on the other hand, are more likely to opt for the Predigtstuhl area. In addition to 4 kilometres of piste and 5 t-bar lifts, you will also find a fun park here, one of the largest in the Bavarian Forest to be precise.
Two other small areas can be found at the Grün-Maibrunn ski lift and on the Kapellenberg, where families and beginners in particular flock.
Night skiing Pröller ski triangle (St. Englmar)
For skiers who haven't had enough of the St. Englmar ski area during the day, the region is a true Eldorado, as it offers night skiing in all the villages mentioned. The Pröller ski triangle is open to night skiers from Monday to Saturday, always from 7 pm to 10 pm. A total of 2.7 kilometres of floodlit pistes await skiers of all ages here. There are 0.3 kilometres of floodlit piste on the Kapellenberg, which is open daily until 8 pm. The floodlit Predigtstuhl offers two descents that are open to night skiers from 7 pm to 10 pm on Tuesdays to Saturdays. And in the Grün-Maibrunn area, if there is enough snow, 1.8 kilometres of piste are floodlit from Monday to Saturday from 7 pm to 10 pm.Après ski Pröller ski triangle (St. Englmar)
For those who want to make the après ski programme a little more sporty, there are many options in Neukirchen and the holiday region. Take a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride or a hike, for example - there are more than 50 kilometres of winter hiking trails to choose from. The whole family can have fun in the spa park in St. Englmar: either on the toboggan slope with toboggan lift or on the ice rink, where you can not only skate, but also play ice hockey or Bavarian curling.
If the weather doesn't play ball, you have the option of retreating to the indoor pool. For families, a trip to the Family World St. Englmar is also worthwhile. Here, children will find a climbing tower, a giant trampoline, a wave slide and a bouncy castle on around 1,300 m².
Snowpark Pröller ski triangle (St. Englmar): Predigtstuhl Snowpark
The fun park in the "Predigtstuhl" ski area is floodlit all week long. Freestylers can let off steam here on 8 rails and boxes, several small kickers and various jib elements. In between, you can chill out at the small wooden hut with a great soundtrack. The park is one of the largest in the Bavarian Forest.
