Ski area Freudenstadt-Kniebis

The nearest ski area accessible from Oberharmersbach is about 25 km away: it is located west of the town centre of Freudenstadt on the Kniebis (960 m), a high plateau in the town's territory. Here, a small, yet lovely ski area is served by two tow lifts. There, the Lamm and Stockinger ski lifts transport guests to a versatile winter sports area with around 1 km of piste and numerous connecting cross-country ski trails. One of the tracks is illuminated in the evening, so night cross-country skiing is provided for. Right next door is a 400 m long toboggan run, where visitors of all ages can enjoy tobogganing. The rustic Kniebis hut provides refreshments in resort. The Black Forest High Road also runs along the Kniebis, making the pistes and cross-country ski trails very easy to reach. In the immediate vicinity, there are also pistes to choose from in the neighbouring villages of Vogelskopf and Zuflucht.

Night skiing Oberharmersbach

Winter holidaymakers in Oberharmersbach do not have to miss out on the popular night skiing. For night skiing, night owls can head to the small, fine Vogelskopf night skiing area. It is located about 34 km away from Oberharmersbach, a little off the Black Forest High Road. With a somewhat steeper incline, it also offers a versatile ski area for advanced skiers. The T-bar lift is only operating on weekends and public holidays, yet then until the evening hours. In the holidays and on public holidays, the lift even runs continuously from 09:00 - 22:00 on Saturdays. As soon as dusk falls, the floodlights are switched on and the approximately 1 km long piste is completely illuminated. The 600-metre-long beginner's slope leads directly to the valley station. The forest run, also known as the "Autobahn", on the other hand, is a little longer (850 m) and of medium difficulty. During and after the skiing fun, the Vogelskopf hut invites you to a cosy stop.

Après ski Oberharmersbach

After a day of winter sports, Oberharmersbach provides very peaceful ways to wind down. Get-togethers in cosy inns or evening walks through the snow-covered winter landscape contribute to perfect holiday relaxation in this picturesque destination. Those who like to be active in the afternoon and evening hours will also find many opportunities: Almost every village has a toboggan hill. Here and there, you will also find snowtubing tracks or coasters, and ice rinks invite you to go ice skating.

Several hiking tours around Oberharmersbach lead to vantage points that are attractively designed with unusual objects (wooden sofas, panoramic frames, hammocks). Around the village, there are also three pretty circular trails for snowshoe hikers of varying degrees of difficulty. The trails are well signposted and lead through the forests and up to the highest elevation in the Middle Black Forest, the Brandenkopf with its mountain restaurant and observation tower. A fascinatingly bizarre world of ice and rock is formed by the icy waterfalls where you can practise ice climbing.

Those who have spent enough time in the beautiful nature of the Black Forest can look forward to a hearty evening meal in the restaurants or a cosy nightcap in the fine parlours of the inns.

Snowpark: Snowpark Kandelpark Oberharmersbach

In the small ski areas in the northern Black Forest, such as Kniebis, there is no snowpark. Unfortunately, the "badenova Snowpark" at Feldberg has been closed since the 18/19 season. However, Feldberg will inspire with 4 new fun slopes for all ages. With racy, steep curves, sweeping wave runs, as well as several smaller jumps, the various fun slopes ensure tons of fun!

The Kandelpark in Waldkirch is also looking forward to many new visitors. The varied setup consisting of various boxes, rails and several kickers is well worth checking out.
