Ski area Nesselwang

On the Seeger Berg directly in the village, there is a 6-person tow lift that serves a 300-metre-long downhill run. With a gentle incline, it is suitable for beginners and can be illuminated in the evening by floodlights.

There are other ski areas in the immediate vicinity of Seeg, each with approx. 7-8 kilometres of pistes. The traditional skiing area of Nesselwang-Alpspitzbahn, for example, is about 11 km away from Seeg. The pistes at the Alpspitze (1,575 m) reach up to 1,463 m and offer a varied winter sports area. A combined lift in two sections takes you to the highest point in the ski area. The offer ranges from a children's area with a fairytale forest to a snow park and floodlit piste to a ski route for experts. A special attraction in the ski area is the Alpspitz Kick, a zipline with several ropes on which you can whiz across the pistes.

South of Seeg is the Pfronten-Steinach ski centre, an attractive destination for a day's skiing. The pistes there are spread out on the Breitenberg up to 1,232 m above sea level. In addition, the Tegelberg in Schwangau and the Buchenberg in Halblech offer family-friendly winter sports areas. All in all, winter sports fans around Seeg can look forward to modern lifts, enjoyable pistes and cosy ski huts for the whole family.

In many establishments, guests also receive the free "KönigsCard", which offers various discounts, including free rides on lifts in the surrounding ski areas.

Après ski Seeg

After skiing, your active day in Seeg is not over yet. One highlight is winter hiking through nature, to one of the cosy alpine huts, for example, which reward you with fantastic views of the Allgäu panorama. For ice skating, a natural ice rink is available at the Schwaltenweiher pond on the outskirts of the village and tobogganing enthusiasts will find various tracks in the immediate vicinity, such as at the Alspitzbahn in Nesselwang, at the Drehhütte near Schwangau or on the Tegelberg. In Seeg itself, there is a prepared toboggan run right next to the mini-golf course. For an extra dose of relaxation, there are several large indoor swimming pools and thermal baths in the area, including the "Kristalltherme" in Schwangau or the "Alpspitzbadecenter" in Nesselwang.

Due to the favourable location of Seeg, many exciting excursion destinations are practically within sight. Füssen, for example, with the famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, is only a half hour's drive away. Other castles and cultural attractions are also not far away and worth a visit, even in winter.

Classic après ski fun is not to be found directly in Seeg, but at the start of the season, the Seeger Ski Club invites you to the traditional "Hüttengaudi". Otherwise, it's off to the umbrella bars in the Alpspitz ski area for a sociable afternoon round, and finally, to the Seeger restaurants and bars for a cosy end to the day.

Snowpark: Snowpark Nesselwang Seeg

There are two snow parks to discover in the ski areas around Seeg: at Alpspitze in Nesselwang and in Pfronten-Steinach. The large freestyle park at the Alpspitze is a real eye-catcher. In addition to numerous boxes and rails, a special kids park and a kicker line with jumps of varying heights, the park is decorated as an urban scene with brickwork, graffiti and even overturned cars. You get the feeling of shredding in the middle of the city - what an experience! There is also a wood park with a large wall ride and wooden rails. In addition, the park is illuminated daily with floodlights from 18:00 to 21:00. The Park Base rounds off the park, where you can relax after your ride and meet up with others for a chat.
