Ski holidays Todtnau – Holiday idyll between Feldberg and Belchen!

Todtnau

In the middle of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park lies the holiday resort of Todtnau in the lovely Wiesental valley at an altitude of 659 metres. Surrounded by dense forests, the compact village with its magnificent Roman Catholic parish church forms a winter village idyll. Winter sports fans will find a wonderful haven of peace here, which also serves as a perfect starting point for all kinds of mountain sports. The skiing area of the same name with its varied slopes is located directly in the district of Todtnauberg. As the neighbouring village of Feldberg and Belchen, Todtnau is also perfectly situated for a ski safari on the two highest and most popular ski mountains of the Feldberg lift network. Other leisure activities are also well catered for here: on the Hasenhorn (1,155 m), Todtnau's local mountain, a fast-paced family toboggan run awaits tobogganers of all ages, while a natural ice rink can be found in the village and large networks of paths for winter hikers and cross-country skiers in the surrounding area.

Black Forest

Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest cherry cake), Cuckoo clocks and the "Bollenhut" (traditional women's hat) - all this is typical for the Black Forest region and enjoys world-wide recognition. 160 km long and approx. 60 km wide is the expanse of this central German mountain range, covering 11,400 m² in close proximity to Switzerland and France. The Black Forest, with its more than 70 peaks over 1,000 m altitude, is the highest of the German central mountain ranges. Sporty Alpine skiers, expectant cross-country goers, loves of good wine and cuisine and all those looking for some relaxation and pampering, are welcome to experience the benefits of the Black Forest.
