Ski holidays Alba - fantastic Dolomites!

Alba

Alba (1,517 m), the quieter district of Canazei, is especially well-known for its black extreme run, which descends steeply into the valley. The 3-km long descent with a 658 m difference in altitude proves a challenge for all ambitions ski freaks. Access to the pistes and tracks is made perfect with the cable car, which leaves from Alba and goes directly up to Ciampac (2,100 m).

The traditional village offers its guests numerous paths and trails, which run directly from the valley floor to the mountain peaks. These surround the resort and are a popular destination for hiking enthusiasts. Many bars invite you in to a cosy drink and in the neighbouring resort Canazei there are many further possibilities to find diverse entertainment, e.g. in the Eghe Wellness Centre.

Val di Fassa

The Fassa Valley is located in the southwestern part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous peaks in the Dolomites, such as the Rosengarten (3,004 m), the Langkofel (3,181 m), the mighty Sella Group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small river Avisio winds its way through the trilingual valley (German, Italian, Ladin) and along its popular villages.

With around 110 km of ski pistes and 54 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti Superski network and also offers access to the world-famous Sellaronda. The Fassa Valley, whose main source of income today is tourism, offers its guests not only a first-class ski area but also a wide range of leisure activities with countless opportunities for sport and recreation, tradition and culture, hospitality and, of course, good Trentino cuisine.
