Cross-country Valle di Casies
Snow-lovers who value a wide range of cross-country skiing during their holidays can count themselves lucky in the municipality of Valle di Casies. Around 42 kilometres of cross-country ski trails stretch through the sunny valley floor of Valle di Casies. The trails run through dreamlike woods, snow-covered fields and past picturesque farmhouses and inns that invite you to rest. The cross-country ski runs are excellently prepared for both classic and skating styles and are internationally renowned. It is not without reason that the largest sporting event in South Tyrol, the Gsieser Tal Lauf, takes place every year in Valle di Casies. In 2018, more than 2,000 participants from 37 nations worldwide took part and attracted numerous visitors to the idyllic community of Valle di Casies.
The short round trail "Mooswald" in St. Magdalena in Valle di Casies is 2.5 km long and lies between 1,461 m and 1,489 m above sea level. The circuit is sunny, with almost no incline and is therefore ideal for beginners. Those who want to get back on the boards at a later hour can look forward to: The "Mooswald" round trail is illuminated daily from 17:00 - 22:00.
