Cross-country Sestriere (Via Lattea)

The region has an extensive network of around 100 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, which are not only a delight from a sporting point of view, but also from a scenic one. Most of the trails run around the towns of Cesana, Sansicario, Claviere and Pragelato and are mainly designed for classic-style skiing. Pragelato was the venue for the Nordic combined and cross-country skiing competitions at the 2006 Olympic Games, so you can look forward to very good infrastructure and great cross-country skiing terrain here. The route through the Val des Pres into the French Névache or from Montgenèvre into the Vallée de la Clarée is particularly beautiful.
