Cross-country Verbano Cusio Ossola

Snow lovers who want to enjoy the snow-covered landscape on cross-country skis during their winter holiday will certainly get their money's worth in the Verbano Cusio Ossola region. In Formazza, for example, there is the "San Michele" cross-country ski trail, which is around 11 kilometres long and runs along the River Toce. The trail is suitable for both advanced skiers and beginners. Riale di Formazza is also home to an excellently prepared cross-country ski trail where top athletes from the Italian national team regularly train. Not far from the entrance to the Val Grande National Park in Valle Loana, there is also access to a cross-country skiing circuit with a length of 5 kilometres.
