Location and facilities
The comfortable 4-star Grandhotel Starý Smokovec is situated approx. 500 m away from the resort centre. The Tatranska Lomnica ski area can be reached after about 6 km. The nearest cross-country trail lies around 16 km away in Strbske Pleso.The traditional hotel is built in an art nouveau style and offers its guests extensive and comfortable furnishings such as a hotel lobby with reception, Wi-Fi and Internet corner, lift, breakfast room, dining room, restaurant, bar, cafe, reading- and TV room, children's play room and ski room. Per request, a childcare service can be organised (for a fee).
The spa area offers you a pool, sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin and relaxation room, all of which can be used 3 hours per day for free. A fitness room is also available to use for free. The solarium and various treatments in the beauty centre can be made use of for a fee. Guests will receive one parking space at the hotel to use (incl.).
