Ski area Andermatt – Sedrun – Disentis

Winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to varied downhill runs and breathtaking views in the Andermatt - Sedrun - Disentis ski area. After the merger of the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun and the Bergbahnen Disentis, the ski area impresses with a total of 168 kilometres of pistes. This makes the Andermatt - Sedrun - Disentis ski area the largest ski area in central Switzerland.

A total of 28 modern lifts are available, which bring skiers and snowboarders quickly and comfortably to the starting points of the slopes. Beginners and families with children get their money's worth on a total of 47 kilometres of blue pistes, which are mainly found in the former ski areas of Disentis and Andermatt/Oberalp/Sedrun. Advanced skiers have the opportunity to prove their skills on a total of 84 red and 37 black marked slopes. There are also ski routes in the ski area with a total length of around 16 km. These ski routes are not groomed, but are secured against avalanches and are open for freeriders.

The ski area lies at altitudes between 1,227 m and 2,961 m and the highest point is at Gemsstock. Challenging pistes as well as the most popular off-piste routes in the region start from here. Beginners among the freeriders can take courses at the Avalanche Training Centre on the subject of freeriding.

The Andermatt - Sedrun - Disentis ski area is particularly popular with families, because the youngest children learn here with highly trained staff from the local ski schools. There are also colourful kids' arenas with cool mascots in Andermatt and Sedrun and lovingly designed children's areas in Disentis, where the pros of tomorrow can learn their first turns in a playful way.

Night skiing Andermatt

Skiing down the floodlit slopes is a special experience that you won't forget in a hurry. Night owls can rejoice, because this is also possible in the Andermatt - Sedrun - Disentis ski area. At the "Snow Night Sedrun" in Dieni Milez, the ski and toboggan run is illuminated so that snow lovers can still make their turns at a late hour. The floodlit slope is located at the Mile-Flyer chairlift and impresses with a length of 2 km. To keep skiers and snowboarders strong, culinary delights can be enjoyed in the Milez mountain restaurant during the evening slide.

Après ski Andermatt

Andermatt is not an après-ski stronghold, but party-loving snow lovers certainly get their money's worth in a few bars. Some snow bars on the slopes and at the mountain and valley stations have après-ski programmes from time to time, such as the Schirmbar at the Gurschen mid-station. An absolute highlight for après-ski fans is certainly a ride on the après-ski train of the Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGB). The train commutes between Andermatt and Disentis and the ride is free with the ski pass. 2 carriages of the train have been converted so that there is plenty of room for singing, dancing and partying. At the weekend, the après-ski experience of a special kind is rounded off by a live DJ.

Skiers and snowboarders who would rather end a varied day on the slopes in a cosy atmosphere with a glass of wine and good food will find what they are looking for in comfortably furnished restaurants. One example is the restaurant in the Hotel Schweizerhof, one of the oldest hotels in Andermatt. Here, guests can expect a large selection of wines, regional specialities and the opportunity to enjoy fondue or raclette with their loved ones.

Skiers and snowboarders who want to relax after a long day on the slopes can look forward to the varied wellness offers in Andermatt. The wellness and spa areas of various hotels can also be visited by non-guests for an entrance fee. The wellness area of the hotel "The Chedi Andermatt", which is called "The Spa and Health Club", is particularly recommended. Here, those seeking peace and quiet can expect a wellness area with, among other things, various saunas and an indoor pool on a total area of around 2,400 square metres.

Active winter holidaymakers can also enjoy a variety of activities off the slopes in Andermatt. In Andermatt, for example, there are wonderful winter hiking trails, some of which are groomed. Particularly popular is the approx. 2 km long circular trail around the Arnisee, the almost 2 km long panoramic circular trail Gütsch and the winter hike from Andermatt via Hospental to Realp, which is almost 10 km long in total. There are also marked snowshoe routes that lead through snow-covered forests and over wide slopes.

Culture lovers can visit sights such as the 19th century Devil's Bridge in the Schöllenental, the parish church of St. Peter and Paul or the Ursern Valley Museum and let themselves be enchanted by the exciting history of Andermatt and the surrounding region.

Andermatt is an excellent winter holiday destination, especially for families with children, as there are numerous activities that will put a big smile on the faces of young and old alike. For example, there is an almost 5 km long toboggan run that runs from Nätschen to Andermatt. This is sure to be a lot of fun, and not just for the little ones. You can also go ice skating or curling on the ice field in Andermatt. Horse-drawn sleigh rides through the enchanted winter landscape in the wonderful Andermatt holiday region are also very popular.

Snowpark: ACE Snowpark Andermatt

Freestylers are guaranteed to get their money's worth in the Andermatt - Sedrun - Disentis ski area at the ACE Snowpark. The popular and sunny park is located above Sedrun at the Tegia Gronda T-bar lift, which transports skiers and snowboarders comfortably back up the mountain after a spectacular run.

The ACE Snowpark is located at altitudes between 2,000 m and 2,300 m. Aerial acrobats will find 2 kicker lines with kickers of different heights in the snow park, which are designed for jumps of 2 to almost 20 metres. However, only experienced freestylers should dare to try the biggest kickers, because beginners run a high risk of injury on these jumps. On the jibline, which runs parallel to the kicker line, freestylers will find various boxes, rails and obstacles. There is also a quarter in the snow park.

In the ski area -Andermatt - Sedrun - Disentis there is also the ski cross track "Audi Mini Cross", which impresses with hills, smaller kickers and steep curves.
