Ski area Arosa-Lenzerheide
From the end of 2013 winter sports fans will then find more than only the pistes in Arosa available to ski on. The idea already spouted in the 1970's, however from the end of 2013 the connection between the ski areas Arosa and the closely located Lenzerheide will become reality. The connection will come into existence via the new Hörnli-Urdenfürggli lift. The Urden Valley, which was the main obstacle here, is now crossed easily. Opened in December 2015, the panorama lift Heidbüel is the newest and hence the most modern ski lift in the region. The ski area Lenzerheide (1,230 - 2,865 m) has the main advantage that the lifts are located both to the westerns and the eastern side of the valley. Winter sports fans therefore have a guarantee for sunshine. In many mountain restaurants, free-of-charge Wi-Fi hotspots are at your disposal.
Furthermore, the ski area also offers highlights like speed measurement runs, the public circuit that invites you to compete with your friends, the Skyline where you can find out about the kilometres you've skied in total and the conquered difference in altitude, the ski movie, and skiing once a month on moonlit pistes. Night skiing Arosa
Arosa Lenzerheide is one of the ski areas in Switzerland which illuminates some of the pistes after the daily opening hours for night skiing. The night ski piste in the ski area can be found at Stätzerhorn. From New Year's Eve until mid-March night skiing is possible every Friday from 18:00 - 22:00. The Proschieri towlift in Parpan as well as the Rungg-Stätzertäli chairlift take skiers and snowboarder to the access of the approx. 3.5 floodlit piste from where they can start the nightly skiing fun. The mountain restaurant Alp Stätz invites you to stay for a cosy dinner and enjoy regional delicacies after night skiing. Wild parties are rather rare in Arosa, but you can certainly dance after a long day on the piste. The resort is especially comfortable due to the overnight traffic-ban, so you can leisurely go from bar to bar. The "Brügglie" and the disco "Nuts" are particularly well-known. In the ski area itself there is also to Chilihütta, for example, probably the longest bar in Lenzerheide with homemade schnapps or the Kuhbar with a beautiful and sunny terrace. If you prefer a quiet evening, you'll feel right at home in one of the numerous restaurants. Tennis, tobogganing, snow shoe hiking and ice climbing ensure sporty variety. Even though relaxing is top priority here, you still have the possibility to really get going. The" Snowpark Arosa Lenzerheide" offers a range of possibilities to do so. Alongside the Tomeli lift there are three different lines adjusted to all levels of ability, which provide the perfect start to the freestyling scene or offer a chance to enhance the already acquired skills. The ideal, wind-sheltered location on the north-eastern mountain face makes "shredding" possible with nearly all weather conditions. The close location to the lift additionally makes sure you don't loose much time with waiting. Every year the experienced crew creates a new set-up and provides new challenges with boxes, rails, kickers, jumps and jibs. No matter if skier or boarder, beginner or pro, the park offers something to do for everyone and only waits to be explored!Besides the "Snowpark Arosa Lenzerheide", there are further exciting snowparks available to try.
