Brienz

The cosy town of Brienz is located in the Bernese Oberland, idyllically situated on the turquoise Lake Brienz and at the foot of high mountains, which in winter invite you to go on long winter hikes, ski tours and alpine skiing. Brienz has preserved its very special history as a "woodcarving village" and still attaches great importance to sustainable woodworking today. It is not without reason that there is a school for wood carving and a violin-making school with a long tradition here. The village is particularly charming thanks to its cosy atmosphere, old town centre, quaint alleys and pretty lakeside promenade, where you can stroll at leisure and stop off at one of the many small cafés or restaurants. But it is not only the town centre that has historical value; Switzerland's oldest steam cog railway is also located here. It leads up to the Brienzer Rothorn (2,244 m), where you can enjoy wonderful winter hikes with impressive views.

Meiringen-Hasliberg

The Haslital valley, with its popular and family-friendly winter sports resorts, is located in the heart of the Bernese Oberland. Here you can enjoy fantastic views of the mountain panorama from Glogghüs (2,534 m) and Rothorn (2,525 m). The region is a winter sports fan's dream come true: with 60 kilometres of slopes, a snow park, numerous off-piste options and various cross-country trails, there is plenty of variety – pure winter fun is guaranteed here! But even away from the slopes, you don't have to search for leisure activities. In Haslital, relaxation, culture, fun and action are top priorities. The region has even been awarded the "Families Welcome" seal of approval for its diverse, child-friendly offerings!
