Ski area Flims-Laax-Falera
A highlight among the many descents is the "Fatschas", the black piste on Crap Sogn Gion, where World Cup races were once held. The slope on the 2,675 metre-high Cassons is a paradise for deep snow fans. Most of the slope here is not groomed, so you can make your first tracks in fresh snowfall. Wide ski meadows await you on Spaligna and on the Vorab glacier. The longest descent in the ski area measures an impressive 17 kilometres and leads down from the glacier. Children will find their playground in Laax in the three snow wonderlands at the three valley stations.
Those who want to share their experiences, the white powder snow, a self-made kicker or the radiant sun above the Vorab glacier with their loved ones at home don't have to wait for the journey home and long photo evenings. There are plenty of Wi-Fi hotspots in the ski area where you can connect to the internet for free and send messages, photos or videos.
The Flims-Laax-Falera ski area has no shortage of snowparks either. In four different parks, you can choose between jumps, boxes and rails. There is also the largest half-pipe in Europe!
Après ski Flims-Laax-Falera
Those who want to fortify themselves after a strenuous day on the piste will find numerous small huts in the ski area. Flims and Laax offer a wide range of culinary delights - from breweries to cosy parlours with Swiss specialities and Asian noodle houses. If you prefer something more active, you can take advantage of the 100 kilometres of marked winter hiking trails or the toboggan runs. The three-kilometre route from Foppa to Flims is regularly floodlit.
Snowpark Flims-Laax-Falera: NoName Snowpark
Laax is a true paradise for freestylers. The facts of the ski area speak for themselves: there are four fun parks to choose from. There is also "The Beast", the largest half-pipe in Europe, where the Burton European Open, the most important snowboard contest in Europe, takes place every year. But that's not all: the Freestyle Academy, founded in 2003, also promotes young talent in Laax.
An additional highlight is the indoor freestyle hall, which opened in 2010. It is the first and only one of its kind in Europe and is suitable for snowboarders and skiers as well as skaters and bikers. Here you can prepare for your tricks with precision - for example on trampolines and indoor kickers with a chop pit.
Three of Laax's fun parks are located near the Crap Sogn Gion mountain station, the hub of the ski area. This is where the Beginner Park is located, where beginners can try out their first tricks on five kickers and ten other obstacles such as rails and boxes. Advanced riders can let off steam in "Ils Plauns" with kickers and 15 other obstacles or venture into the largest half-pipe in Europe. It is located in the NoName Park, which attracts visitors with more jumps and slides as well as the Café NoName for a break in between. The Curnius Snowpark is located at an altitude of 3,000 metres on the Vorab glacier and offers kickers, rails and boxes for every level.
