Ski area Ski Juwel

Due to the interconnection of the ski areas Wildschönau and Alpachtal, accessible with the new gondola, the lift pass "Ski Juwel" offers 109 km of piste incl. ski routes. With this lift pass you have access to the ski areas Markbachjoch/Lanerköpfl, Oberau, Thierbach, Schatzberg, as well as Kramsach, Reither Kogel and Wiedersberger Horn. This sums up to a total of 45 lift systems located between 830 and 2,025 m altitude! Various levels of difficulties ensure that beginner, as well as pros can really enjoy themselves here.

Children can go to Bobo's Kid's Club. For families and relaxed skiers the Schatzberg is especially attractive or also the Reither Kogel, whilst ambitious skiers can swing down the northern mountain side of the Markbachjoch and Lanerköpfl, as well as speed through various deep powder snow areas and free rider areas with 16 km of marked ski routes.

In Oberau as well the various piste offers can be easily reached with the complementary ski bus. In Alpbach you have access to three gondolas, which take you to the ski areas. For snowboard freaks there are various options to run riot: in the snowpark at the Wiedersberger Horn, the fun park at Schatzberg and the Race'n'Board Arena in Niederau - all offering loads of fun and action! Skiers can also compete on the new Eva-Maria Brem giant slalom racing track at Reither Kogel!

A special highlight in this ski area are the 20 free Wi-Fi hotspots ("hotzones") it offers for all its visitors! Only a few easy steps are required to access the Internet and you can instantly supply your friends and family with your holiday news and photos!

By upgrading to the "Super Ski Card" lift pass, you get access to over 2,750 km of piste and 943 lifts in 22 ski regions!

Which winter sports fan hasn't dreamed of being the first to try out the freshly prepared pistes in the morning? With "First Line Skiing" in the Ski Juwel, early birds can rejoice in this special experience! Afterwards, enjoy a hearty breakfast in one of the rustic mountain huts and savour the perfect start to your day.

Night skiing Alpbach

The ski area Ski Juwel is one of the best night ski areas in Austria. At Reither Kogel nearby Alpbach, approx. 6 km of pistes on three slopes are illuminated for night skiing every Friday and Saturday between 18:30 and 21:15. The lifts Reitherkogelbahn, Nordlift and Brandachlift are in operation for night skiing. On Tuesdays, the family slope is also illuminated from 18:30 - 21:15 for ski tours. Here, the lifts are not operating. In the Wildschönau area, you can also go night skiing and night tobogganing in the Roggenboden ski area. Two broad pistes for night skiing and night tobogganing with snowmaking systems are illuminated every Wednesday and Thursday from 19:30 to 21:00. The night ski passes can each be acquired in resort.

Après ski Alpbach

Après ski in the Alpbachtal begins with a comfortable retreat into the rustic mountain huts. Here you can start by taking it easy with a hearty meal. After that the proper fun starts, with companionable fun! Après ski fans should definitely visit the "Gondelalm": all of the furnishing inside is made up of gondolas! You can also enjoy yourself at the end of the day in the Liftstüberl (in Achenwirt), in the Postalm and in the Jakober.

If that's too much for you, there are numerous restaurants in which you can be spoiled, as well as torch-lit hikes and night tobogganing to take part in. In Alpbachtal there are a total of eight toboggan runs - two of them in Alpbach and Inneralpbach. Ice skaters can do their laps on the ice rink in the village. Furthermore, snowshoe hikes, guided winter hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides are all on offer.

If you are also looking for the very special adrenalin kick on your holiday, then a spectacular tandem flight at an altitude of 1,000 m with a fantastic view over the Wildschönau is for you. Dates can be arranged daily.

Three times a week you also have the opportunity to prove yourself as a snow groomer co-pilot. For around 60 minutes, 500 horsepower and 10 tons are in your hands! A must for all motorsport fans.

The Alpbachtaler Lauser-Sauser is another highlight waiting for you. 1,035 m in lenght, 134 meters of altitude difference and countless jumps and roundabouts make the fast ride with the Alpine Coaster massive fun for big and small passengers. But beware, don't forget to smile - the photo point is waiting...

Snowpark: Sugarparks Snowpark Alpbach

At the Wiedersberg Horn in Alpbach (freestyle) wishes come true - and not only for pros! The park was designed for families and beginners who have always wanted to reach new limits and see the world from above. The "Snowpark Alpbach"invites you to have untroubled fun in a family atmosphere and attracts with its mini hills and jumps for courageous beginners In the "Family Park" there are two 6 m easy boxes, a speed booster and a 2 m long easy kicker available, offering a perfect challenge for those who are venturing into a snow park for the first time. Attention pros - you will also get your money's worth here! There is a separate "Jib and kicker Area" with 6 boxes, a 5 m jib tank, 4 kickers up to 10 m in length and a 6 m Straight Industry.

In total there are tree parks in the Ski Juwel area. Additionally, there is the Race'n'Boarder arena at the Tennladen slope with a permanent giant slalom and a speed run, as well as a carving area. A new fun slope with waves, rails and numerous other fun elements for young and old can be found at Wiedersbergerhorn.
