Cross-country Kappl im Paznauntal

Although the Paznaun Valley is particularly well known for its excellent range of pistes, the region around Ischgl and Galtür is also an insider tip for cross-country skiing and offers approx. 80 kilometres of trails. From Kappl, fans of Nordic skiing can easily reach Galtür on the ski bus. The cross-country ski trails have even been awarded the cross-country ski trail seal of approval. The trails impress with their reliability of snow from the beginning of December until well into spring and offer plenty of variety thanks to their different levels of difficulty.

The Mathon trail is 5.5 km long and around 60 metres in altitude, making it suitable for beginners and groomed for the classic style. From the Madlenerhaus you can also ski a few beautiful routes with great panoramic views. The circuits into the Jamtal valley and, past the Silvretta reservoir, to the Bielerhöhe are particularly scenic - but be careful, a sporting spirit is required here: in one direction it's only uphill or quickly downhill! A special highlight is the high altitude cross-country ski trail, which leads to the Silvretta reservoir at 2,040 metres.

Cross-country skiers who can't get enough even after dark are in luck: guests can enjoy the landscape until the evening on the 2 km long floodlit night trail in Ischgl.
