Ski area Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

Ski area Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn

With the "Zell am See-Kaprun" lift pass, you have access to 138 kilometres of piste and over 47 modern lifts in the ski areas Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe, as well as on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, which extends up to 3,029 m altitude.

With the "Kitzsteinhorn-Kaprun" lift pass (off-season) you have access to the namesake ski area, with its snow-sure and 41 km of intermediate pistes for beginners and pleasure skiers. Large carving pistes, sportive slopes like the 5 km long piste that begins at the cable car Magnetköpfl mountain station, all of these makes your heart beat faster. With the Glacier Jet or the Panorama lift you can access the glacier from Kaprun.

From Zell am See you can take the CityXpress, the TrassXpress or the Schmittenhöhe lift to access the ski area up the Schmittenhöhe mountain (2,000 m). This area is better suited for more experienced winter sports fans. The approx. 4 km long valley run is known as the most challenging in the entire ski area. Freeriders can enjoy themselves on the open terrain along the Sonnenkogel lift.

For the winter season of 2018/19 the Schmittenhöhe is planned to be connected with the Skicircus Saalbach Hintergrlemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and the first steps have already been made. From the brandnew zellamseeXpress, only one small connection to Viehhofen in Glemmtal is missing. Neverthless the new lift is sensational as it is: six cabins have a jukebox you can connect with your music.

This terrain is suitable for both beginners and pros alike: the ski area Maiskogel is ideal especially for families due to its selection of wide, blue pistes. At the Maiskogelköpfel lift you will find the longest descent of the area, which covers a total of 7 km.

For freestylers there is a snow park in each of the 3 ski areas with tables, slides and jumps!

A special highlight in this ski area are the many free Wi-Fi hotspots it offers for all its visitors! Only a few easy steps are required to access the Internet and you can instantly check the snow reports, surf the web and supply your friends and family with your holiday news and photos.

The "Super Ski Card" enables you to access over 2,750 kilometres of piste and 943 lifts in 22 ski regions, such as the Skiciscus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn, the Kitzbühel - Kirchberg ski region or the Salzburger Sportwelt.

The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn and the Zell am See - Kaprun ski area are planning to merge together by 2023. Starting from the 2019/2020 winter season, the zellamseeXpress should be able to take snowboarders and skiers from Glemmtal to Zell am See, Kaprun. For the time being, you can take the ski bus from Vorderglemm back to the Skicircus. However, that should change within the next 4 years with the ski area connection, which will make it the largest interconnected ski area in Austria.

Starting from the 2019/2020 winter season, ride with the new Ski Alpin Card, the connection between the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Fieberbrunn and the ski areas of Zell am See/Kaprun, for a total of 408 km of piste and 119 lifts!

Night skiing Kaprun

Just like in other night skiing areas in Austria, the ski area Zell am See-Kaprun also offers the possiblitiy to go skiing by night time. In Zell am See, the neighbouring resort of Kaprun, night skiing is possible on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Night skiing takes place on the approx. 1.5 km, illuminated "Nightslope" at Ebenbergbahn lift. On days the piste is opened for night skiing, Ebenbergbahn lift closes at 15:00. From 18:30 - 21:00, the lift is opened again for night skiing. A special highlight is the view of the illuminated houses in Zell am See at night time. Ski passes valid for several days can also be used for night skiing. With single day lift passes, the night ski tickets can be acquired in resort.

Après ski Kaprun

Après ski is written big in Zell am See and Kaprun. Numerous cosy huts and snack stations are a major skier's magnet during the day. Especially recommendable is the aprés ski bar "Schnaps-Hans" on the Schmittenhöhe or the quaint and cosy "Pinzgauer Hütte".

The evenings can be spent partying in numerous aprés ski bars, pubs and discos in Zell or Kaprun. In bars and clubs called "Karambar", "Crazy Daisy" or "Diele" night turns into day.

Various further activities like tobagganing (day & night), ice skating, cross-country skiing or visiting the pool complex with sauna add to the large offer of leisure time activities. Those who like to aim high, can try a parachute jump, glide with a kite over the region or enjoy the lovely view from a glider. A stroll through the pedestrian precinct with its shops and cafes is also worth while.

Snowpark: Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun

With the lift pass "Zell am See-Kaprun" you have access to a major freestyle area. First place to go is the Kitzsteinhorn, where the local Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn offers adrenaline junkies and freestyle lovers 4 diverse areas to try out.

In the "Easy Park" kids and newbies can start their freestyle career with practise moves. There is an easy jib line, a rain line and 2 kickers. In the "Central Park" pros and experts can show off their skills. 6 metres long straight tube, various rails and kickers (6 - 12 m), as well as an 18 metre pro jump leave no wishes unfulfilled. Right at the top, at 2,900 metres altitude, there is the "Glacier Park", which is however only open during spring and autumn. Easy line, jib line and kicker line are then ideal for beginners and pros to practise their moves. Besides the snow parks there is also a fun line with wave ride and curves, as well as a real highlight: the 160 metre long and 6.60 metre high super-pipe - the largest in Austria.

More action is to be found in the fun park "Schmitten" on the Schmittenhöhe. This park offers obstacles such as rails, boxes, and kickers and is mainly geared to beginners and pros. The "Schmitten XXL" promises loads of entertainment: a 1,300 metre long fun slope with wave ride, jumps, tunnels, etc.

A further park is ideal for families with kids: the "Maisi Phantasiepark" on the family mountain Maiskogel offers kids a wave run and some small ramps and therefore provide the best conditions for trying out first moves in the freestyle sport.

Further to the snow park there is also a 1,200 m long fun slope. Here, as it's name also says, it's all about having fun! The fun slope has among others, sound speed booster, rainbow bridge, giant snail and mascots.
