The comfortable Camping Zugspitze (Baumhaus) is located approx. 2,7 km away from the centre of Grainau. The centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen deserves a visit, and is approx. 4 km away from the accommodation. Access to the ski slopes is provided by the Alpspitzbahn mountain railway approx. 3 km away. Cross-country skiing trails can be reached within about 1 km. Ski buses stop within about 50 m. The Garmisch-Partenkirchen railway station can be reached after approx. 5 km.
