Location
The traditional 4-star Superior Romantik Alpenhotel Waxenstein hotel is situated approx. 400 m away from the centre of Grainau. The centre of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is always worth a visit, and is approx. 6,5 km away from the accommodation. You can access the ski area by taking the Kreuzeckbahn gondola lift approx. 5,5 km away, or the Alpspitzbahn cable car approx. 5,5 km away. Cross-country skiing trails can be reached within about 600 m. You can experience a rush of adrenaline on a well-prepared toboggan run approx. 5 km away from the hotel. The Grainau railway station can be reached after approx. 1 km.Facilities
