Ski holidays Dimaro – Historical mountain village in the Val di Sole!
Dimaro
Dimaro is a part of the Dimaro-Folgaria municipality and lies at an altitude of 766 m in the Adamello-Brenta Nature Park, in the sunny Val di Sole. The Noce River flows through the mountain village and closeby, the foothills of the Brenta Dolomites stand tall. This holiday destination can hardly be more ideal - Dimaro has something to offer in terms of sports and culture. In the village itself, you'll find notable historical buildings like the Lorenzo church from the 15th century or the Palazzo del Dazio in the resort centre. There's also a municipal theatre, traditional workshops, and an active village life. Additionally, the nature park provides numerous excursion points and activities for cross-country skiers, winter hikers, and snowshoe hikers.Above Dimaro, in the "frazione" Folgarida, lies the access point into the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area with its 62 km of piste. It's here where you'll also find a lovely open air ice skating rink. One mountain ridge over is the chic winter sports resort of Madonna di Campiglio with the same-name ski area, which also happens to be a venue for the Skiing World Championships.
Val di Sole
In the "Valley of the Sun", the name says it all, even in winter: after all, this popular holiday region offers winter sports enthusiasts a record number of hours of sunshine and guaranteed snow until April. The valley in Trentino scores highly with these characteristics, not least thanks to its excellent location – surrounded by the three-thousand-metre peaks of the Brenta Dolomites, the Ortler Alps and the Adamello massif. The Val di Sole comprises almost 50 picturesque villages and hamlets. Seven winter sports centres offer accommodation, entertainment and, above all, direct access to all ski areas. From easy and intermediate slopes to freeride areas and snow parks to legendary World Cup downhill runs, there is something for everyone. With the "Superskirama" lift pass, skiers and snowboarders can enjoy unforgettable skiing fun on around 434 kilometres of pistes at altitudes of up to 3,000 metres!Travel Dimaro
