Ski area Plan de Corones

The ski resort around Kronplatz (2,275 m), South Tyrol’s number one ski destination, has more to offer than just a bit of fun on the slopes with the "Skirama Kronplatz" lift pass. Thanks to its 216 snow-making systems, snow is guaranteed from December to April; 121 km of slopes and 31 state-of-the-art lifts between 975 and 2,275 m, as well as a wide range of activities, ensure an unforgettable skiing experience for young and old alike. Snowboarders can let off steam on the halfpipe. The area is also renowned as the venue for various sporting events, such as the Snowboard World Cup, the Biathlon World Cup or the international Gsiesertal Run, South Tyrol’s largest sporting event! For an even wider choice, you can upgrade to the “Dolomiti Superski” lift pass and choose from 1,232 kilometres of slopes and 395 lifts!

In the “Plan de Corones” ski area, you have access to free Wi-Fi hotspots at many lift pass sales points. Additionally, with the upgrade to the “Dolomiti Superski” lift pass, further hotspots are available at lift stations and restaurants in the various ski areas.

A cultural highlight is now open to you on the summit plateau of Kronplatz at 2,275 m: the “Messner Mountain Museum Corones” is the sixth and final mountain museum project by the renowned extreme mountaineer, artfully built into the rock by star architect Zaha Hadid and the highest museum in South Tyrol.

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.

Snowpark Plan de Corones: Snowpark

Freestylers can look forward to two snow parks in the "Plan de Corones" ski resort. These are primarily aimed at beginners and young freestylers, but more experienced riders can also let off steam here. The Easy Park is located right next to the Belvedere mountain station. Along an approximately 800-metre-long line, you’ll find obstacles of an easy difficulty level. On an Easy, Medium Rail and Medium Kicker line, freestylers have the following features at their disposal: 6 Easy Kickers, 6 boxes, 7 Medium Rails and 2 Medium Kicker Tables. There is also a Family Fun Line featuring whoops, steep turns, tunnels, fun run elements and new F-tech Family Fun boxes.

Things get a bit more challenging in Korer Park. It is located on the Korer slope and offers freestyle fun across 6,000 m². Among other things, there are 4 different 6 m butter boxes and a 9 m flat-to-flat butter box.
