Ski area San Martino di Castrozza

Ski area San Martino di Castrozza

The steep mountain tops stand like a row of tin soldiers and form one of the most spectacular sceneries of the Dolomites. The 60 km of piste are connected by a free ski bus.

The lift pass "San Martino di Castrozza" includes the pistes at the Passo Rolle, the Col Verde and the ski union Ces-Alpe Tognola near San Martino. From extensive pistes for beginners (e.g. at the Passo Rolle) to the black piste "Direttissima" something can be found for everyone's taste. The lift area at the Col Verde convinces with its long sun shine hours and the entertaining run. Furthermore, there are valley runs that make their way from Punta Ces and Col Verde down into the resort. During the 2018/2019 winter season, the new Colbricon Express gondola will replace the two older chair lifts, providing for even more comfort in the ski area.

Snowboarders are in for a good time, too: there are snowparks with quarter pipes, boarder cross, tables, slides and jumps at the Alpe Tognola or the Rollepass. Even more fun in the snow can be had with the "Dolomiti Superski" lift pass upgrade - offering 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts.

Night skiing San Martino di Castrozza

Apart from a breathtaking mountain panorama of the Pala Group peaks, the Italian night ski area San Martino di Castrozza has another surprise: skiers and snowboarders can indulge in skiing fun also at night-time. The piste ends directly in the resort centre of San Marino di Castrozza and opens for night skiing three days a week. On a length of 2.6 km, winter sports enthusiasts can use the slope through the forest. Mountain huts and restaurants give a warm welcome to all night-time skiers and serve food and drinks. Surrounded by thick forests, night skiing here is a real highlight.

Après ski San Martino di Castrozza

The days in San Martino di Castrozza generally fade away comfortably. Get-togethers in the "Rifugio Tognola" is underlined by a DJ with fitting music, whilst others admire the setting sun. That doesn't mean that there's nothing happenings, however! Discos, piano bars as well as ale houses and wine bars ensure there is enough variety, right into the night. Favoured meeting places are the "Enoteca da Renzo" or "Lo Sfizio". You can indulge in delicious Trentino specialties like cheese, wine, mushroom dishes, fried sausage, polenta and naturally pizza in all forms and variations.

For those interested in sports, there are tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, as well as a fitness centre. Those who still haven't had enough of the snow are recommended to look into a snowshoe tour or a ride in a horse-drawn sleigh through the idyllic landscape.

Snowpark: Snowpark Colverde San Martino di Castrozza

The San Martino Snowpark is approx. 1 km long, running alongside the Scandola piste and offering its own 3-person chair lift, so that the sunny park is easily accessible. A total of 40 different obstacles split between an easy, a medium and a large line are ready and waiting for freestyle beginners as well as the pros. Furthermore, there's a jib area and a boarder cross run - no one should be left wanting! It's with good reason that the San Martino Snowpark is one of the five Burton Progression Parks in Europe and the location for numeroud events and contests.

The second snowpark in the ski area is the Snowpark Colverde, which lies surrounded by forest area at an altitude of 1,650 - 2,000 m and thus is in an ideal location. Not only winter sports fans looking for the perfect jib line can make perfect use of the snow park but also beginners have ample opportunity to practise their skills.

The diverse offer consists of a 3 m and a 6 m kink box, several 3 m boxes, two 6 m boxes, a rainbow box and two 6 m as well as an 8 m tube. The park is prepared daily and as an absolute highlight it is also lit up in the evenings (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays).

If you are searching for even more freestyling diversity, you could head to the Rolle Railz Park at the Passo Rolle, around 9 km away. With a length of 800 m, this park offers numerous boxes, kickers and jumps, as well as dreamy view of the picturesque Pala group.
