Ski holidays Kandersteg - Nature and Relaxation in the Kandertal!

Kandersteg

The resort of Kandersteg lies in the Kandertal, at an altitude of 1,200 m and is surrounded by a fascinating mountainous backdrop. The idyllic mountain village in the Bernese Oberland offers sporting diversity and family-friendliness in dreamy natural settings. The resort maintains its historic roots while still managing to develop its tourism, offering harmonious concepts that excite guests in both summer and winter. When heading out from Kandersteg, you can navigate your way into the two manageable ski areas of Oeschinensee and Sunnbüel.

The quaint ski areas pack a punch and can be reached with the lifts directly from the resort. Next to Alpine skiing, Kandersteg is especially known for its excellent touring areas as well as its ice climbing paradise. The ice falls of Kandersteg offer great conditions for beginners and pros alike, and a trial course could even be booked as well. The resort captivates its guests especially through its original, historical charm and the impressive scenery of the surrounding mountains. Let yourself be enchanted by the natural beauty of the Kandertal!

Kandertal

The Kandertal is a very well-preserved, small valley, just 13 km long in the Bernese Oberland and is known as one of the most beautiful natural areas of Switzerland. It's no wonder that in 2011, parts of the Kandertal were officially recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. The raw, idyllic landscape draws in nature-lovers and sporting holiday-goers alike, as there are numerous activities available all throughout this fascinating Alpine region. Whether it be skiing, winter hiking, sledging, cross-country skiing or ice climbing - nothing stands in your way of an active holiday. Dreamy meadows and hills at the foot of the high Alpine mountains, scattered farms, the Kander river, Lake Blausee with its mysterious, crystal-clear water and Lake Oeschinen all help mould the landscape. A special offer here is to be found for families who are open to a little diversity in their holiday plans.
