Cross-country Mallnitz
Fans of Nordic skiing will certainly not be bored in Mölltal either. Numerous cross-country trails of various levels of difficulty are just waiting to be explored. There is a network of around 25 km of cross-country trails around Mallnitz, Flattach/Obervellach offers a total of 30 km and cross-country skiers will find 2.5 kilometres of trails on the Mölltal Glacier. However, you will need a ticket for the lift ride.
The two high altitude cross-country ski trails and the Mölltal glacier trail are particularly attractive and, thanks to their altitude of around 2,000 metres, are still very easy to ski on when the snow has already melted in the valley. The cross-country trails in Mallnitz also lead you into the beautiful Seebachtal and Tauerntal national park valleys. There is also a laser biathlon course near the village centre.
The Mölltal cross-country ski trail network has been awarded the cross-country ski trail seal of approval.
