Ski holidays Maranza – Valle Isarco's sun terrace!

Maranza

Perched at an altitude of 1,414 metres, the tranquil village of Meransen (in Italian: Alto Adige) lies at the junction of the Eisack and Puster valleys. Thanks to its southerly exposure and the many sunny days it enjoys each year, the village on the vast mountain plateau is also known as the "sun terrace" of the Eisack Valley. This makes Meransen one of the sunniest places in South Tyrol. Right next door rises the Gitschberg with an attractive ski area. From the village, you can reach the ski area via a modern 8-seater gondola lift. The village itself also has a small family ski area with two practice lifts. In winter, Meransen offers a wide range of leisure activities, from skiing and cross-country skiing to tobogganing, winter hiking and ice skating.

Valle Isarco

The Valle Isarco lies in the heart of South Tyrol and stretches from Brennero to the mouth of the Adige near Bolzano. Dominated by the River Isarco, the valley impresses with its varied landscape at any time of year. In winter, 95 kilometres of pistes of varying degrees of difficulty invite you to ski. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, there is something for everyone here. The beautiful wide pistes are very suitable for families with children. Thanks to its special location, the region is considered to be very sunny and snow-sure. There are also many opportunities to spend a varied day away from the piste.
