There are several children’s areas for the little ones, most notably in Meransen village at the Zwergele Winterwelt. Here, there are three magic carpets, a tubing run, slides and a swing for children of all ages. There is also a floodlit slope for classic night skiing, and in Vals, snowboarders can enjoy themselves in the fun park. An all-round successful, family-friendly ski resort!
Upgrading to the “Dolomiti Superski” lift pass also gives you the opportunity to ski across 12 ski resorts covering a total of 1,200 kilometres of slopes (see ski region).
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.Après ski skiarea_name
As well as peaceful winter activities, the region also offers adrenaline-pumping adventures. For those who’d like to see the Eisack Valley from above, there’s the option of paragliding, for example. The nearby Pfunderertal is also renowned for its fantastic opportunities for waterfall climbing. A qualified mountain guide will show you how to climb the majestic, sometimes sheer ice pillars.
