Ski area Pejo 3000
About half of the pistes can be covered with artificial snow, including the red descent to the valley. It is also the longest piste in the ski area and runs over 8 km to the valley station. In the lower part, it turns into a blue piste. From the mountain station of the 6-seater "Cabinovia" gondola lift, the black descent no. 3 also leads down into the valley.
Families with children can romp around in the lovingly designed Kinderland right in Cogolo di Pejo. There is a t-bar lift here, which opens up the blue "Biancaneve" practice piste with a length of approx. 500 metres. Next to it is the "Biancaneve Snowpark", a large snow playground for children with a magic carpet, carousel and snowtubing track. The area is also open twice a week in the evening from 8.00 to 10.00 pm and is floodlit.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. As in neighbouring Alpine countries, the ski areas in Italy offer plenty of fun and entertainment on the piste. Of course, this also includes night skiing. Night skiing is also very popular in Trentino. In the Pejo 3000 ski area, the "Mezoli" piste, which is around 1 km long, is floodlit twice a week in the evening. It is located in the centre of the ski area at the Mezoli 2-seater chair lift. Right next to it, the Scoiattolo mountain restaurant offers refreshments. The Kinderland at the t-bar lift in Cogolo di Pejo is also open twice a week in the evening. Pejo is a cosy place to be after a day's skiing. Several shops invite you to stroll around and the restaurants serve delicious regional dishes. In Pejo Cogolo and also in Pejo Fonti, near the lift entrance, there are child-friendly ice skating rinks. A special treat for children is a ride in the "minicar", a miniature racing car, on a small ice track right next to the ice skating rink in Pejo Cogolo.
Those interested in the cultural heritage and history of the villages can visit the frescoed church, a castle ruin and the folklore museum in Pejo. Pejo is also known as a spa town thanks to its thermal springs. Several thermal baths and spas offer extensive cures and baths. The "Terme di Pejo" is one of the largest thermal baths in Pejo Fonti.
In addition, the Stelvio National Park offers almost unlimited opportunities to actively experience nature. Guided snowshoe or winter hikes are popular, for example. Five different Nordic walking trails have also been cleared in the Pejo Valley. The surrounding area can be easily explored on the "Dolomiti Express" electric train, which runs through the Val di Sole.
Snowpark Pejo 3000: Pejo Sunpark
The "Pejo Sunpark" is located at approx. 1,500 metres above sea level on the Saroden piste, a red descent on the Saroden chair lift. The park's 300 metre long lines offer everything a freestyler's heart desires: a 6 m flatbox, 6 m rainbowbox, 6 m buttlerbox, 6 m rail, 3 m and 4 m kinkedbox as well as jumps from 3 m to 8 m high. For children, there is a Kids Easy Park in the Dosso del Blanco area with a 3 m box and a mini kicker.
