Ski area Mammoth Mountain
With the lift pass "Mammoth Mountain" you have access to 111 km of piste. The "Mammoth Mountain" is indisputabely Los Angeles's ski fans favourite and is something to talk about: Over more than 1,416 hectares 150 runs spread over the 5 km wide volcano hill side. The area offers an enjoayable variety of high alipne steep runs with wonderful views as well as soft slopes with thinly scattered foresty patches. Relyable amounts of snow as well as a large snow-making device ensure a long-lasting season. the lift sytsem and the resort have been modernised extensively in the past. For boarders Mammoth Mountain offer almost paradise-like conditions: 7 fun parks and 3 pipes, including a super pipe as well as excellent free rider areas - it's not for nothing that this is the in-place to be for L.A.'s cool boarder scene. Included in the lift pass is also the 32 km distant neighbouring ski area June Mountain: The small ski area convinces with lots of sunny slopes and quaint huts and surely is worth a day trip.

In bars and discos such as "Lakanuki", the highest-situated tiki bar, visitors can dance and enjoy live music until late at night. Romantics can let the day come to an end over a romantic dinner. If you'd rather be active after a sporty day in California's mountains, take part on a dogsled run or a tobogganing party. Additionally, snowmobiling and snowshoe tours through the breathtaking, expansive landscape are also very popular. Furthermore, guests can visit art galleries in Mammoth or spend an evening in the cinema. Also a favourite among tourists visiting the USA is the opportunity to shop for less. In Mammoth, shops are available in the resort and directly on the mountain.
