Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.Night skiing Aprica
In sunny Sondrio, skiing is not only a pleasure during the day. Many pistes in Italy are illuminated by floodlight for skiers to extend skiing fun until the evening, and night skiing is also available in the Aprica ski area with approx. 50 km of piste. The 6 km long Baradello piste is even one of the longest floodlit pistes in Europe. At the foot of Monte Palabione two blue pistes are illuminated for night skiing. In winter, the practise lift operate in the evening several times per week - the exact dates are announced on the info board in resort.Après ski Aprica
Snowpark Aprica: Fun park "Initial"
The snow park of Aprica, "Initial", has diverse obstacles like kickers, boxes and wall rides. There are also two slide lines and two jump lines designed for both beginners as well as snowboarders and freestylers, who can practice and hone their skills. Here, the sky's the limit when it comes to fun. The park also has its own lift and a flood light facility, so that the fun can continue on into the evening.
